Inspired by the exhibition Between Boundaries, the participants of the first year Critical Fashion Practices have developed "Made In__". In this project, students compare the migration of clothes and the migration of people.
"Made In___" aims to expose the double standards of clothing migration and human migration. Garments are made from materials all over the world and travel across many borders. The people who make the clothes are usually a lot less free and are often limited by immigration laws and regulations.
"Made In___" was developed by Master Critical Fashion Practices Generation 32: Nabi Williams, Wonne Scrayen, Lejla Verheus, Fiore Farhand, Ingeborg Kvalnes. This presentation is the result of a collaboration between Museum Arnhem, the ArtEZ Fashion Professorship and MA Critical Fashion Practices.
The presentation can be visited for free in the Dome of Museum Arnhem.
